Purpose In Watercolor Painting

Despite graduating college with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, I was only good at creating art, I was not passionate about it. Instead, I gravitated away from watercolor painting in pursuit of the graphic arts and marketing world. It led me to value money over masterpiece. After a career change in 2018 and the social lockdowns of 2020, I needed something to fill the creative void. I returned to watercolor painting and did so with the passion I previously had been missing. Every brushstroke now has a purpose. It gives me peace and meaning in a crazy and erratic world.

I truly enjoy taking each part of the process personally and creating the best, most beautiful art that is within my being. I hope you will consider joining me on my creative journey!

My art is mostly rooted in nature and rural settings. I love the simplicity of large open spaces mixed with the intricate details that make up those large areas of color. Old buildings and equipment add a quietness to the setting as what previously made them go has passed by and left them to their retirement.

This won’t be regular, or even monthly. I will only bother you when there are new pieces or an upcoming show, etc.!
